        种连进医生是‘北京赛克思生物工程有限公司’的创始人及首席执行官，也是‘种氏保健企业集团’的董事会主席。种连进医生是世界知名，中国著名的糖尿病专家。他曾经是美国斯坦福大学的访问学者，并和洛克菲勒医学中心共同研究课题。他也荣任过，亚洲糖尿病协会会员。中国医学会会员，中国的政协委员。他作为北京朝阳安苑中医医院和北京朝阳红十字会医院的院长，长达20年。

1. Application and Research of Medicinal Plants

Dr. Lianjin Chong, is the founder and CEO of Beijing Sixth Bio-Engineering Co., Ltd, also the chairman of Chong’s Health Care Enterprises, Inc.  He is a member of the committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.  For the last 20 years, he also served as president and director of Beijing Chaoyang Red Cross Hospital as well as Beijing Anyuan Hospital .

From 1988 to 1993, we were able to use our “guanxi”, or connections in China , to engage in public relations campaign in national and local newspapers and televisions in China .  For example, in China , we were the first and only company to have PR articles written for a commercial product for diabetes, Yu Xiao San 8805, one of the formulations of Dr. Chong.  News about Dr. Chong and Yu Xiao San appeared on People’s Daily, and publications of Xinhua News Agency of China.  Dr. Chong also appeared on China Central Television, as well as Beijing Television.  More than 80 news media in China reported Dr. Chong’s success.  Dr. Chong’s patients included vice-premiers of China , and government officials in the ministry level, as well as well known celebrities in the entertainment industries.  At that time, all directors of a state-owned hospital had to be a communist party member.  Dr. Chong was the first and only non-communist party member to be in charge of state-owned hospitals. 

In 1991, Dr. Chong was invited to speak and give lectures in the United States , Japan , Thailand , and Singapore .  In 1993, he received American permanent residency under the category of “persons with extraordinary abilities”.  He became a visiting scholar to Stanford University Medical Center and also engaged in joint research studies with Rockefeller Medical Center .  Dr. Chong also published various research papers and books in Chinese and Japanese.

In 1995, Beijing Sixth Bio-Engineering Company, under Dr. Chong’s leadership, received several approvals from the State Food and Drug Administration and Ministry of Health (equivalent to the US Food and Drug Administration) to sell and market several Chinese medicines, dietary supplements and nutritional products.  Products of Dr. Chong also received permissions and approvals from health authorities in the US , Japan , Singapore , Ghana , New Zealand , Canada , etc.

In 1999, Dr. Chong became the president and director of Beijing Anyuan Hospital .  For several years under Dr. Chong’s management, the hospital has become a leading state hospital in its local communities.
